The Winchester House Club gardens on the Thames

Established 1892

A brief history

A house with a view, and a story.

Built in the early seventeenth century, Winchester House still benefits from one of the most enviable scenic river views in London. According to legend, Oliver Cromwell used the house during the Civil War's Putney Debates, planting a mulberry tree in the garden, it stands to this day, still bearing fruit.

Founded in 1892, the Winchester House Club continues to prove itself as a popular and unique venue of choice, for both its members and those seeking a perfect setting for private events and special occasions.
